Tings provides a consumer app that collects and catalogues receipts and product information, using AI to build a digital repository of users' possessions. The service gives users direct access to spare parts, repair services and channels for second-hand sales. Tings is free to use and currently has over 17,000 unique users and 10 employees based in Oslo. The company already collaborates with brands and retailers including Fjällräven, IKEA, Eplehuset and Anton Sport. Management says the funding will be used to further develop existing services and the customer offering. Tings positions itself as an enabler of circular commerce amid incoming EU regulations that will push brands and stores toward repairs and second‑hand sales.
