Klovechef, operated by IOK Labs Inc., runs an AI-based culinary experience platform that brings conversational technology to consumer culinary and buying experiences. Its assistant lets users add ingredients to grocery lists, receive recipe recommendations, and get personalized step-by-step help during meal preparation. The company was founded in 2017 by Bahubali Shete and Asha Shete, with celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor later joining as a co-founder. Klovechef says it already has strategic alliances with Amazon Alexa and Amazon Meal Kits (India), as well as other meal kit providers in the US and Canada. The company is United States- and Bengaluru-based and will use the new capital to grow its user base and accelerate expansion into the North American voice shopping market. Prior to this round it had received funding from backers including Rajan Anandan, LetsVenture, and other angels.
