Founded in 2019, TiPJAR provides a cashless tipping platform designed to give hospitality operators transparent, compliant and trackable ways to manage tips and service charge, including its Supertronc™ product for tronc management. The company says it supports more than 5,000 sites across the UK and processes over £130 million in tips annually, serving more than 75,000 hospitality workers. Since launch it has been responsible for more than £13 million being invested into modernising fair and transparent tipping, and during a normal trading day processes around 1,000 tips per minute. TiPJAR positions its product to reduce administrative burden, improve employee retention and deliver faster payouts and real-time visibility for workers. The business has advised government bodies such as the Department of Business and Trade on tipping transparency and workplace protection. TiPJAR plans to use recent investment to scale its team and product as it expands its technology to more operators and explores new markets.
