Overview
Doubleword provides an end-to-end self-hosted inference platform that lets enterprises deploy open-source, proprietary, or fine-tuned models with one-click private deployment and unified control across cloud and on-prem environments. The product includes analytics, logs, alerts, and proprietary inference optimisation research to improve GPU utilisation and dynamic infrastructure scaling. Doubleword says it removes the operational burden of building and maintaining performant inference stacks so customers can go from idea to production faster without accumulating technical debt. The company has scaled into the US and secured partnerships with Snowflake and Dataiku. Founded in 2021 by Meryem Arik (CEO), Dr Jamie Dborin (CSO), and Dr Fergus Finn (CTO) out of UCL research, Doubleword was formerly TitanML. With the new funding the team plans to grow globally and invest further in its platform to solve more of the inference problem for enterprise customers. TitanML offers Titan Takeoff, a solution designed to make large language model (LLM) deployment faster, cheaper, and easier for machine learning teams. The company publicly launched Titan Takeoff and intends to expand operations and continue development efforts with new funding. TitanML has demonstrated real-time deployment of a state-of-the-art Falcon LLM on a commodity CPU and reported up to 90% reductions in compute costs and 20x latency improvements within hours of deployment. It has secured strategic partners including Intel and AWS and has a series of enterprise clients. The company was founded by Dr. James Dborin, Dr. Fergus Finn, and Meryem Arik.
