Tompaero
Overview
Tompaero is building the FSC-2 Aviator, an autonomous aircraft designed to operate in civil airspace without a pilot on board for medical emergency and critical-logistics missions such as organ and equipment transport. The company emphasizes applying manned-aviation safety principles to autonomous systems, including redundancy and integration with existing air-traffic rules. Tompaero was founded in January 2025 and is based in Lannion, operating from a local aerodrome and hangar. Its founder, Tommaso Passerin d'Entrèves, brings industrial experience ranging from helicopters to equipment for Airbus and Boeing. The startup aims to complete certification and be operational by 2031, pending successful test campaigns and regulatory approval. Current funding includes a €1.5M raise plus regional support (a €45k Phar loan) to finance the certification steps and related demonstrations.
