Tonkotsu operates ramen restaurants in the UK. It currently runs nine restaurants in London and one in Selfridges Birmingham. Two additional sites are due to open later this year in Peckham and Shoreditch. The company says it will use new funds to expand operations and broaden its business reach by opening more Tonkotsu locations. Co-founded by Emma Reynolds and Ken Yamada, Tonkotsu is led by Managing Director Stephen Evans and chaired by entrepreneur Sarah Willingham. The group raised £5m in funding from YFM Equity Partners.
