Tupai Medical develops high-end ophthalmic medical devices based on technologies commercialized from Tsinghua University and incubated by Tsinghua’s industrial research institute. Its core technical team is composed of dozens of Tsinghua faculty and students across electronics, biomedical, and precision instrumentation disciplines. The company says it has produced a series of globally leading high-end medical devices and currently employs over 300 people, including a research team of more than 100. Annual R&D investment is reported at nearly ¥100 million. The corporate entity is Tupai (Beijing) Medical Technology Co., Ltd., and the company has made eight external investments, including subsidiaries in Shanghai and Suzhou.
