Total Flow Medical is developing a patent-pending arterial cannula that allows clinicians to provide blood flow to a patient’s lower leg during extracorporeal circulation. The device is intended to address unpredictable ischemic and reperfusion injuries that can occur during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures. The company recently completed a Seed financing that was originally sized at $3.5M and closed oversubscribed at $4.1M. Northview LifeSciences is participating in the Seed financing as lead investor. Proceeds from the raise will advance the company’s first product through regulatory approval in preparation for commercialization. The announcement did not disclose operating metrics or additional investors.
