Overview
Tracks is a mobile photo-sharing app that focuses on creating micro-social networks—called "Tracks"—around shared real-world experiences. The company's iOS app lets users create on-the-go group photo albums, apply automatic realtime filters, geo-tag photos visible on an interactive map, and stream content via AirPlay. It also enables merging online and offline worlds by letting users turn photos into printable physical photo books and provides a feed showing activity across tracks and networks. Tracks raised $1 million in seed funding to pursue its "mobile experience graph." Investors in the round included General Catalyst, TMT Investments, Eniac Ventures, AppFund, BHV Ventures, Harbor Road Ventures, Atventure.us, and a handful of angels including Photobucket founder Alex Welch, who will join the board. CEO Vic Singh leads the company, which launched at TechCrunch Disrupt NYC in May and whose iOS app was covered in October.
