TracPlus offers real-time tracking, communication and integrated solutions for critical services including first responders, firefighting, utilities, military and aviation. Founded in 2007 and based in Dunedin, the company has grown to serve a global client base that includes CalFire, San Diego Gas & Electric, the National Aerial Firefighting Centre (NAFC Australia), CONAF (Chile), Erikson and Christchurch Helicopters. It operates offices in New Zealand, Australia, the United States and Latin America and describes itself as a whole-of-market platform provider. The company positions its platform as a cost-effective, comprehensive, flexible and agile solution for tracking and communications. TracPlus has secured a $5m investment from Movac to fund growth initiatives and an acquisition. The funding will be used to grow technical and sales capability and to further capitalise on its position in the market. As part of the transaction TracPlus will acquire v2track Limited to broaden its product offering and global footprint.
