Trade is a coffee subscription brand that enables customers to discover new coffee and support local roasters at a national level. Led by CEO Mike Lackman and launched in 2018, the company has built a base of loyal subscribers. In two years Trade has shipped more than one million bags of coffee and expects to ship another million in the next six months. It partners with 55+ roasters across 38 U.S. states, giving small independent businesses access to new consumers nationwide. Trade raised $9M in a round led by Madrona Venture Group, with continued support from original partners JAB and Launch. The company intends to use the funds to reach a wider audience and develop roaster support tools.
