TradeMachines is a Berlin-based meta search engine for used machinery founded in 2013 by Dr. Heico Koch. The platform aggregates online auctions from national and international auctioneers and dealers and lists over 1.3M machines, including tractors, forklifts, construction machines, industrial cranes, wood saws, metal saws, and lawn mowers. It does not auction machines itself but brokers machine sales and has brokered sales totaling more than €7 billion. TradeMachines raised over €1m in a funding round backed by Dr. Albrecht von Sonntag, Marcus Seidel and Philipp Klöckner, which will value the company at an eight-figure valuation. The investment will be used to expand the company's activities into more industries and to continue internationalization to reinforce its global presence.
