Overview
Trading Ticket is developing Trade It, a mobile-friendly, API-based securities trading tool that lets users place orders instantly from third-party sites, apps or Twitter by linking mentions of company names, ticker symbols or shortened URLs to order tickets. The product enables direct trading of ETFs without going through a registered investment adviser and is positioned to integrate trading into online publishing platforms. The company plans a broader suite of mobile and desktop financial products to help users open accounts, access credit, place orders, and communicate with financial service providers. Early partners include Stock Tracker, Stocks Live, Rubicoin, Invstr, Benzinga, MarketWatch, The Motley Fool, TheStreet.com, VETR and ARK Invest, with partnerships slated to launch October 1. Trading Ticket says roughly 80% of orders placed so far have come via mobile devices, and the company intends to monetize via transaction fees, marketing sponsorships, and technology licensing. The founding team includes CEO Nathan Richardson and former Bloomberg and Kapitall co-founders Serge Kreiker and Gaspard de Dreuzy.
