TradeYa is a social web platform that connects users and facilitates trades of goods and services. It supports trades of items including electronics, gift cards, sporting equipment and vacation homes, as well as services such as web design, cooking lessons and medical care. The company intends to use the $1.1M funding to launch its platform. At the time of the raise it reported 30,000 users and $4.3M of goods and services available for trade on the platform. TradeYa was incorporated in January 2012 and is based in Venice Beach, California. The $1.1M raise from angel investors is intended to support the platform's launch and initial growth.
