Tradiio operates a free music-discovery platform available on the web and via iOS and Android apps that lets users listen to up-and-coming artists and use virtual coins to back those they like. Users can gain credibility and earn more virtual coins on the platform, which can be redeemed for rewards. The company says it will use newly raised funds to further develop the platform and grow the number of artists available. Tradiio is backed by Espirito Santo Ventures and is also supported by innovation-management software provider Exago. It was founded in 2014 by Alvaro Gomez, André Moniz and Miguel Leite and has offices in London and Oporto. The company employs 18 people.
