TrafficLand provides live streams of traffic by aggregating thousands of closed-circuit television (CCTV) feeds and delivering them over the Internet and on television. The company uses patent-pending technology to pull feeds from multiple Departments of Transportation camera networks and repurpose existing video camera infrastructure. Its service currently includes thousands of cameras across dozens of markets worldwide and was developed as a public-private partnership with local, state and federal agencies as well as commercial enterprises. TrafficLand launched its public website on September 10, 2001 and the site was quickly used as a ground-condition resource following the September 11 attacks. According to SEC filings, the company added $2.13 million in funding in the current financing, and the filing shows a total offering amount of $2.4 million. The new capital is intended to advance its business of providing live traffic streams.
