Trailmix was started in December 2017 by Carolin Krenzer and Tristan Clark, who previously helped set up King’s London studio and worked on Farm Heroes Saga. The studio’s stated mission is to build mobile experiences with richness and depth while remaining accessible, long-lasting and suited to daily life, combining storytelling with free-to-play mechanics. Trailmix currently has a two-person team and has not announced any games. The founders left King in the middle of last year after Activision acquired it. The studio aims to foster talent and assemble a team to execute its vision. A $4.2 million investment from Supercell will fund hiring and development as they build out their first projects.
