Traken Technologies is developing an access-control system combined with a secure mobile-cloud data acquisition platform for convenience stores. The product is designed to help local, national and multinational convenience stores reduce loss from theft while protecting critical retailer and customer data. The company will receive $25,000 in seed funding provided by the Arizona Commerce Authority and BioAccel as part of the AZ Furnace Accelerator. That funding comes through the state’s AZ Furnace technology-transfer startup program, which connects early-stage startups with university and public-private resources across Arizona. Traken is based in Phoenix. Through AZ Furnace the company will gain connections to other programs available statewide.
