Tranch is a B2B BNPL platform enabling SaaS and services providers to offer a ‘Pay with Tranch’ checkout that pays suppliers upfront while letting customers settle invoices up to $500,000 over two to 12 months. After a UK beta and acceptance into Y Combinator, Tranch launched in the US and is focused on growth in the multi-trillion-dollar US B2B invoice market. The company has spread millions of dollars of invoices across services and SaaS verticals and reported that monthly invoices converted to flexible payments increased tenfold in the six months to the end of 2022. Early service providers offering the option include procurement platform Tropic and law firm Goodwin Procter LLP. Founded in 2021 and based in New York and London, Tranch plans to use new proceeds to grow its New York team and expand the checkout across multiple industry verticals. The product is positioned as a working-capital solution in a market where a large share of B2B invoices are overdue and many transactions are still settled by check. Tranch provides a BNPL platform that lets SaaS vendors and professional services firms offer end-customers flexible payment plans while the sellers get paid upfront. End-customers can spread costs for contracts sized £10,000–£250,000 over six to 12 months instead of settling standard 30–90 day invoices. The platform offers dynamic credit lines that can be used against multiple expenses with multiple suppliers. Founded in London in 2021 by Philip Kelvin and Beau Allison, Tranch is positioning to scale supplier onboarding across multiple verticals. The company plans to grow its team and expand its reach in the UK and the US later in the year. Tranch is backed by Y Combinator and will join YC’s Summer 2022 cohort. It recently completed a £3.5m pre-seed and debt financing (approx. $4.25m).
