Tranquis is developing a portfolio of brain‑penetrant small molecules that target a master metabolic pathway in myeloid cells, an approach originating from Stanford research by Prof. Edgar Engleman. Its lead program, TQS‑168, is in preclinical development and has shown the ability in vitro to restore a dysfunctional metabolic pathway in patient myeloid cells and encouraging in vivo effects in challenging neurodegenerative models. The company plans to complete non‑clinical work on TQS‑168 and advance it toward clinical proof of concept in orphan indications such as ALS and FTD, and to expand its discovery platform with next‑generation compounds for more prevalent diseases including Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
