Transfluent provides human-powered translation solutions via a partner network of 15,000 freelancers and supports 60 languages. The company has released an API for Apps that supports Apple iOS, OSX and Android development. Led by CEO Jani Penttinen, Transfluent helps companies engage with fans in their native languages on Facebook and Twitter. The service is delivered from its Helsinki base and the company also operates a Singapore office. Transfluent raised new capital to support expansion plans including a move to New York. The funding is intended to help scale operations and international presence.
