TransLoc provides transit-technology products and services to over 140 municipal transit agencies and universities across the U.S. Its product suite includes Rider, a mobile app that integrates transit with other mobility options such as Uber and offers an intelligent journey planner and automatic booking. Other offerings include RealTime AVL for up-to-the-second vehicle location and reporting, Traveler for granular passenger-flow insight and agency planning/communication, and OnDemand for automated, Uber-like demand-response services. The company said it will use financing proceeds to accelerate growth and continue solving major transit problems with technology. CEO Doug Kaufman said TransLoc is well positioned to take advantage of changing mobility trends and to bring transit together with other transportation options to benefit passengers and agencies.
