TravelNest offers a platform that enables vacation rental hosts to access smarter, hands-free marketing driven by data and technology. The company secured £2.3 million in R&D and RSA grant funding from Scottish Enterprise. That contribution will support a planned £7 million investment to establish operations in Edinburgh and could create more than 80 skilled jobs. The funded R&D project will focus on improving data flow to partners, building intelligence to increase customers' marketing performance, and increasing the efficiency of customer onboarding. CEO Doug Stephenson said the grant, along with equity investment, will accelerate product development, customer acquisition, recruitment, and the company’s push into global markets. Scottish ministers and Scottish Enterprise framed the support as part of a broader effort to stimulate innovation and digital economic growth in Scotland. TravelNest provides a bookings and advertising aggregation platform for holiday rental owners, enabling properties to be distributed across sites such as Airbnb and Booking.com. The platform aims to increase occupancy and earnings for owners by taking the hassle out of multi-site distribution. Led by founder and CEO Doug Stephenson, the company partners with a range of travel sites to broaden property visibility worldwide. TravelNest raised a £3m seed funding round to support its growth. The company intends to use the funds to expand engineering operations and further develop the product. The funding and planned engineering expansion are positioned to accelerate product development and market reach.
