The company has positioned itself to use web3 tools to enable exclusive content, shows, and other bespoke opportunities for creators. TRAX completed a decentralized funding round secured via the Internet Computer blockchain and will operate as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Raised capital will be held in TRAX DAO’s treasury, with $TRAX governance-token holders democratically controlling how funds are used. Management says the funds will be deployed toward partnerships, events, and initiatives to maximize benefits for artists in the UK and globally. Between the late-December close and the mid-January announcement the initially reported $2.9 million tranche swelled to roughly $4 million owing to a valuation boost in the underlying digital currency.
