Treinta

Calle 97A #13A-57 Oficina 501, Bogotá, Bogotá D.C., Colombia

Overview

Treinta is a Colombia-based super-app serving micro, small and medium enterprises across Latin America via an Android app and a laptop version; an iOS option is in development. The platform offers payments, inventory management, customer records and employee management tools. The company reports over 5 million clients and aims to help digitalize more than 50 million microenterprises in the region. Co-founder Lluís Cañadell has said Treinta intends to become the fintech partner of choice for MSMEs and SMEs in Latin America. The team plans to expand its product offering and geographic reach to increase financial inclusion for entrepreneurs. Recent investor support is intended to fuel that continued growth. Treinta builds a mobile-first bookkeeping and inventory management app aimed at single-operator small stores and microbusinesses across Latin America. The company launched publicly August 31, 2020 and rapidly scaled usage, growing monthly active users 400% in the months after launch and reaching 35,000 monthly active users. It has recorded over $25 million in gross transaction volume through its app. Treinta is part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2021 cohort and operates with a 13-person team out of Bogotá, Colombia. Management says it expects to sustain very high month-over-month growth (around 100% for a period) and currently has runway into the end of summer 2021. Future product plans mentioned include adding digital payments and potentially offering credit to its user base, and geographic expansion into markets such as Brazil.
