Trekmates designs, sources and supplies a broad range of outdoor clothing and accessories. Established in 1997 and based in Nottingham, the company serves over 500 retailers in the UK and overseas. The business received £8.7m in combined debt and equity financing. Enterprise Ventures acquired a minority stake as part of the investment, and The Co-operative Bank provided additional debt facilities. The new capital will be used to continue expansion into Europe and to develop the company’s brand offering. Following the transactions the company will continue to be managed by chair Chris Prentice and Group Sales Director Jonathan Clayton.
