Its logistics arm, Trendyol Express, and courier network Trendyol Go power its delivery services. The company serves more than 30 million shoppers and delivers over 1 million packages per day. Trendyol raised $1.5 billion at a $16.5 billion valuation in the reported round, becoming Turkey's first decacorn. The company also aims to create new export channels for Turkish merchants and manufacturers amid a rapidly growing Turkish e-commerce market. Trendyol has previously raised close to $36 million in funding from venture investors. In the reported transaction Alibaba paid $750 million to become a major shareholder and will provide technology, e-commerce, mobile payment and logistics expertise as part of a strategic alliance.
