Tres Alchemix
2-19-17 Hakata Ekimae, Room 312, Tokan Hakata 5th Building, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka, Fukuoka, Japan
Overview
Founded in April 2023 by three Japanese researchers who completed their doctorates at the University of Oxford, Tres Alchemix builds a proprietary AI platform that integrates multimodal and multi-omics big data with quantum-chemical calculations to model every biological event in the human body. This “human in-silico” model enables the direct prediction of a candidate drug’s efficacy and adverse effects and can propose entirely new compounds tailored to specific diseases, shortening hit identification and reducing late-stage clinical failure risk. The company is presently focusing on oncology programs and has begun generating new hit compounds at its Oxford research lab. Headquartered in Fukuoka, it established a subsidiary and laboratory in The Oxford Science Park in 2024 to access the UK and European markets. The freshly raised Series A funds will accelerate platform development and finance the new Oxford facility. To date, the company has secured roughly ¥650 million in capital; no revenue or user metrics were disclosed in the article.
