Trexity is a same-day, on-demand local delivery technology platform that enables online and brick-and-mortar businesses to deliver products in near real-time using an independent courier community. Founded in 2019 by ex-Shopify executive Alok Ahuja and LaunchFort co-founders Mathieu Bouchard and Darren Schnare and based in Ottawa, the platform supports single and multi-stop deliveries. Trexity says it supports an ecosystem of thousands of merchants and couriers daily and currently serves Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, and Winnipeg. Its independent couriers earn between $25 and $30 per hour while delivering. The company plans to expand into new markets across Canada and North America and will make strategic hires in marketing, sales, and engineering. Trexity raised $5 million in seed funding to help fund that expansion and increase engagement in existing markets.
