Tribevest provides a platform for investor groups (“tribes”) to form LLCs, create operating documents, open FDIC‑insured bank accounts (via Blue Ridge Bank), vote on decisions and track investments with a business ledger. The product is investment‑agnostic and supports transactions across public and private markets, with roughly 80% of users invested in private assets. Since launching in 2018 the eight‑person team has seen more than 1,000 tribes created and over 570 actively transacting; tribes average four to five members. More than half of Tribevest’s customers are people of color, and the company emphasizes expanding access to wealth-building for marginalized groups. Tribevest has raised a $3M seed and previously raised $0.5M in pre-seed; it exceeded customer acquisition goals in 2020 and 2021. Going forward the company plans to launch a mobile app in H1 2022, hire engineering and product staff, invest in marketing, and build formal partnerships with investment platforms to enable direct investments through Tribevest accounts.
