Overview

Tridge operates an online trade platform and fulfillment service that matches global food and agriculture buyers and sellers, handling research through ordering for more than 150 countries. Its fulfillment solution serves as a middleman for over 15,000 agricultural products and supports more than 100,000 suppliers; Tridge also offers market intelligence with roughly 15,000 covered products and 50,000 price updates. The company reports having 447,786 users and counts customers from farmers to global retailers including Costco, Walmart, Nestle, Dole and Carrefour. Tridge says it posted under $7.4 million in sales last year and now generates between $15 million and $23 million in sales per month after launching its fulfillment revenue stream in September 2021. The company employs about 600 people, has offices in 45 countries (including the U.S. and Europe), and claims to have amassed more than 1 trillion cumulative data points. Tridge plans to use the new capital to launch new services, invest in technology, and accelerate overseas expansion focused on the U.S., Europe and markets such as Turkey, Brazil, India, Vietnam and Tanzania. Tridge operates an online sourcing hub that connects suppliers and buyers of fresh produce and other agrifood commodities across more than 70 countries. Its platform enables users to identify and verify trading partners, make bids and offers, and transact securely. The company also sells market intelligence — paid premium data coverage and tailored advice from a vetted community of market experts. Customers include retailers such as Carrefour, Costco and Walmart, food and beverage companies AB InBev, Dole and Nestlé, and airline Emirates. Tridge says demand surged in 2020 amid Covid-19 disruptions; the platform now receives more than 300,000 visitors per month and added 50,000 buyers after launching its market intelligence offering. It expects revenue from its fulfillment operations to reach $300 million by year-end and plans to scale fulfillment globally through co-packing and warehousing in 50 strategic countries while expanding teams and headcount.
