Trillion Loans is a Mumbai-based nonbanking financial company (NBFC) operating a lending business. BharatPe increased its stake in Trillion’s NBFC division to almost 60% via an $8–9 million investment, after acquiring 51% in May 2023. The company is now valued at $100 million and earlier this year closed a separate debt facility from Credit Saison. As part of the transaction, Sabyasachi Senapati, Nalin Negi and Ravindra Pandey were added to the NBFC’s board. Sources say the investment is intended to boost confidence among equity holders and the lending community and will enable Trillion to pursue new opportunities, leverage capital and operate within regulatory limits. BharatPe plans to acquire the remaining stake and take Trillion NBFC to 100% ownership within the next 24 months.
