Trinity Cyber, based in Bowie, Md., has developed technology to proactively intercept and control cyberattacks before they reach a customer’s network. Its approach operates outside network perimeters to impose costs on attackers and prevent threats prior to reaching clients’ internal networks. The company positions its technology as additive to — not a replacement for — traditional reactive detection and remediation capabilities. Trinity Cyber is led by CEO Steve Ryan and President Marie “Neill” Sciarrone. The company closed a $23M funding round and plans to use the proceeds to expand operations and broaden its business reach. Former Homeland Security Advisor Tom Bossert joined the management team as Chief Strategy Officer.
