Led by CEO Hilmar Halldórsson, TripCreator is a Reykjavík, Iceland–based provider of trip-planning solutions for travel professionals. Its platform offers planning, management and analysis of complex leisure and business trip itineraries and can be deployed as white-label or branded solutions that integrate with existing platforms through dedicated APIs. TripCreator uses machine learning and data‑driven analytics to generate itineraries that can be shared, modified and integrated with services such as Booking.com and Priceline. The company has begun work with worldwide travel agencies including Tumlare (part of JTB Corporation), Grayline Iceland and WOW® Airlines. Mobile apps on iOS and Android allow travelers to update plans online or offline, access driving/walking/cycling directions and travel documents. An upcoming app version 2.0 with planning functionality and real‑time suggestions will be available starting in October. TripCreator secured $8M in funding from business angels and VC funds; specific investors were not disclosed, and the company maintains sales and marketing in New York City and R&D in Vilnius.
