TripHobo is a visual algorithmic trip planner that lets users choose destinations, suggests attractions, helps plan each trip day in detail, and make bookings. At the backend it runs an algorithm to optimize trips taking into account travel distances, open/close timings and preferred modes of transportation. The platform hosts and surfaces user-generated itineraries and seeks deeper content and technology integration with the travel ecosystem. TripHobo raised $3M in a Series B round led by Kalaari Capital and Mayfield and previously closed a Series A in July 2014. The company intends to use the funds to invest in R&D, hire new talent, and scale content and technology integrations. TripHobo is co-founded by Praveen Kumar (CEO), Saket Newaskar (CTO) and Karthik Ramachandra (COO) and is based in Pune, India.
