Tromero is a machine-learning training and hosting platform that leverages a blockchain consensus model where proof-of-work is ML training and hosting, branded as 'Proof of Useful Work.' Launched by AI Ph.D. researchers Sophia Kalanovska and Charles Higgins while participating in London’s Conception X deeptech programme, the company aims to redirect GPU mining toward meaningful AI computation. Miners on the platform receive crypto rewards and can also be paid in fiat per job completed.
