Tulip builds the Manufacturing App Platform, a self-service industrial IoT and advanced analytics system that lets shop-floor engineers and operators create digital manufacturing apps, connect machines and sensors, and analyze production in real time. The platform is deployed at dozens of global customers across six countries and multiple industries, including Electronics, Aerospace & Defense, Medical Devices, Footwear, Pharmaceuticals, and Contract Manufacturing. Independent analysis at Jabil found Tulip increased production yield by more than 10% and reduced manual assembly quality issues by 60% within the first four weeks; other customers have reported over 10% yield gains and as much as a 90% reduction in new-operator training times. Tulip combines research in intelligent hardware sensors, computer vision, assistive interfaces, and applied machine learning to fill the gap between back-end manufacturing IT and dynamic shop-floor operations. The company was named a Gartner "Cool Vendor" in Manufacturing Operations. Tulip announced a $13 million Series A led by NEA and intends to use the capital to grow product, design, and research teams and expand customer support amid significant customer growth.
