Tushingham Sails began nearly four decades ago as a windsurfing sailmaker founded by Roger Tushingham and expanded into component design and distribution of windsurfing brands. The company today owns the Red Paddle Co inflatable Stand Up Paddleboarding brand, launched in 2009 and sold in 55 countries through a network of distributors and sales agents. Tushingham Sails reports annual sales in excess of £7m and employs 16 people in the UK. The business operates across product design, manufacturing and international distribution within the watersports market. Management intends to use the newly raised funds for further business development. The company is positioned to leverage its established brand and distribution footprint to grow its inflatable SUP and related product lines.
