Tutor Intelligence

80 Coolidge Hill Road, Watertown, MA, 02472, United States

Overview

Tutor Intelligence, spun out of MIT’s CSAIL nearly five years ago, has developed a centralized intelligence platform that trains fleets of mobile manipulation robots on real-world production data. Its robots use advanced visual intelligence to recognize and handle virtually any SKU, allowing them to operate in the imperfect, edge-case–rich environments typical of consumer-packaged-goods warehouses and 3PL facilities. The systems are delivered 30 days after contract signing, become fully operational within a day, and are sold on a subscription-based Robot-as-a-Service model that maps to customers’ labor budgets. Tutor’s fleet has logged tens of thousands of production hours and is already deployed with a Fortune 50 supply-chain network and multiple Fortune 500 CPG, personal-care, toy, home-goods, beauty, and consumer-tech brands. Continuous data collection in the field feeds back into the company’s central intelligence layer, making each new deployment smarter and faster. With fresh capital, Tutor plans to expand its CPG-focused fleet, broaden its robot form factors, and scale its training infrastructure to tackle more complex industrial tasks. The company has now raised a total of $42 million to commercialize its technology.
