TVbeat is a London-based startup that provides real-time television ratings and analytics. Led by founder Robert Farazin, the company is developing a big-data, real-time TV analytics solution that uses live data from connected set-top boxes and other connected devices. Its platform turns millions of customer interactions into actionable insights across pay-TV platforms including cable, satellite, VOD, OTT and IPTV. Potential customers include pay TV operators, broadcasters, agencies and advertisers. TVbeat secured $2m in funding from backers including Episode 1 and Czech-based Credo Ventures and will use the proceeds to expand into new markets and further develop its platform. The company took part in the 2013 summer TechStars accelerator.
