Overview
Instacanvas gives amateur and professional Instagram users their own online galleries where they can market and sell square canvas prints of their filtered photos, keeping 20 % of every sale. Customers can purchase 12-, 16-, and 20-inch prints starting at $39.99, providing photographers a simple route to monetize mobile photography. Launched publicly after an eight-week private beta, the platform already hosts more than 25,000 artist galleries, attracts 1.1 million monthly unique visitors, and is generating “thousands of dollars a day” in revenue without paid advertising. The company supplements its marketplace with built-in social promotion tools to amplify discoverability and virality. Founded out of Los Angeles incubator MuckerLab, Instacanvas currently employs four people. Management believes its community-focused approach differentiates it from competitors such as Hashpix and CanvasPop, aiming to continue scaling rapidly as it opens access to tens of thousands more users on its wait-list.
