Two Rivers acquires irrigated farmland with senior water rights and converts feed-crop acreage into fruit and vegetable production in Pueblo County, Colorado. Through its GrowCo operations it provides state-of-the-art, computer-controlled greenhouses, growing materials and business services to licensed marijuana tenants without handling the plant. Two Rivers owns approximately 50% of each greenhouse and 50% of GrowCo's tenant financing and services company. The company completed a $5.5 million capital raise to fund greenhouse construction and a GrowCo subsidiary that will provide administrative services and financing for greenhouse tenants. Management, led by CEO John McKowen, intends to use the greenhouse capacity and tenant financing to match experienced growers with infrastructure and working-capital support. Two Rivers positions its greenhouse and water-asset strategy as a way to serve licensed cannabis growers on land with water rights not used for traditional fruit and vegetable production.
