Zone Industrielle (Z.I.) Le Trési 9A, Préverenges, Vaud, 1028, Switzerland
Overview
Tyre Recycling Solutions (TRS) develops and produces a highly reactive recycled rubber powder called TyreXol, sold into tire, asphalt and footwear markets. To stay competitive amid high Swiss costs it has expanded production capacity with partners in Turkey, Spain and other identified European partners. TRS has begun a partnership with South Korea’s LD Carbon to set up an initial plant to produce TyreXol from TRS’s Water Pulse process; residual material will be processed by LDC into tire pyrolysis oil and reclaimed carbon black. The company currently produces 11,000 tons of TyreXol per year and expects to multiply that output by six within two to three years. TRS has reported rising demand from major tire manufacturers and a promising collaboration with a global advanced-materials footwear manufacturer. The company faced liquidity problems in spring but is pursuing both financing and strategic partner investments to support growth in Asia, the Middle East and elsewhere.
