Tyred builds a connected bike ownership platform that combines IoT sensors, AI-driven predictive maintenance and operational data with bundled services such as servicing, insurance, warranties and finance. The company began in 2022 as a mobile bike repair service and has since expanded into fleet and consumer offerings. Tyred says it has serviced more than 100,000 bicycles over the past year and maintains around 50,000 Lime bikes in London, building a dataset to power its predictive models. Its product aims to flag wear or degrading components before failures occur, reducing reactive repairs for riders and fleet operators. With the new capital the company plans to hire engineering talent, develop its product further and expand across the UK and into European markets. Tyred positions itself as a single dashboard for fragmented ownership services to keep more bikes on the road and simplify ownership.
