Ubimo

85 Broad St, New York, NY, 10004, United States

Overview

Ubimo provides a software-as-a-service platform that helps advertisers manage ad placements by incorporating real-time context signals such as nearby venues, local events, weather, and neighborhood demographics. The platform combines both data and media capabilities so advertisers can make insights actionable in real time without splitting resources. Ubimo says this multi-signal approach yields more precise campaigns and higher conversion rates than static user profiles. The company launched its platform in the U.S. and opened a sales office in New York to work with ad agencies and Fortune 500 brands. Co-founder Ran Ben-Yair previously launched LabPixies, which was acquired by Google in 2010. Ubimo plans to use new capital to scale its platform and grow its global clientele. Financially, the company has raised a total of $9.7 million to date. Ubimo builds a location-based mobile audience targeting platform that uses patent-pending TRANSLOCAL targeting technology to identify the right audience, context and timing for mobile ad campaigns. Its platform processes signals such as venue information, ongoing events, weather, demographic data and area type, and allows clients to set distances as small as 10 meters. Ubimo positions TRANSLOCAL as an alternative to simple geofencing by focusing on user context rather than only current geographic area. The company will use new funding to scale up its product offerings and expand its sales presence in the U.S. Ubimo is based in Tel Aviv and was founded by the team behind LabPixies, which was acquired by Google for $25 million in 2010. Executives include CEO Ran Ben-Yair, CTO Oded Poncz, Creative Director Udi Graff and COO Gilad Amitai.
