Ucare.ai builds AI-powered predictive services for healthcare by stitching together de-identified data from public sources and private partners and applying deep learning and neural network algorithms. Its products deliver real-time predictions or periodic reports to clients, with customers like Parkway Shenton (which has more than 1,000 clinics) paying for various offerings. The company aims to reduce preventable hospitalization and lower costs for payers, providers and corporate clients. Ucare.ai was founded in 2016 by Neal Liu (CTO) and later brought on finance executive Christina Teo as CEO; it came out of stealth with a Series A announcement. The startup spent its first two years developing its core AI backbone and now has fewer than 20 staff, with headcount increasing. Management says the business is looking to scale across Southeast Asia and potentially Greater China to both improve models with more data and grow revenue.
