Overview
Uisee is a five-year-old Beijing-based startup founded by tech veterans including former Intel Labs China head Wu Gansha. The company focuses on leapfrogging ADAS to deliver unmanned-driving systems rather than incremental driver-assistance features. Its technology is deployed across robotaxis, city buses, airport vehicle automation and logistics hubs, with customers including Hong Kong International Airport and state-backed automakers such as FAW Group and Dongfeng Motor. Uisee says a JV between SAIC, General Motors and Liuzhou Wuling Motors has run 300,000 kilometers without safety drivers using its tech, a metric it cites to demonstrate operational progress. The firm’s stated plans for the new capital are to ramp up research and development and accelerate at-scale monetization of autonomous-driving solutions. Existing backers named in coverage include Bosch (which participated in a Series B last year), Shenzhen Capital Group and state-backed CCI Investment.
