Over the last five years the company developed a fundamentally new sequencing architecture, including different approaches to flow cell engineering, sequencing chemistry, and machine learning. Its platform is designed to scale beyond conventional sequencing technologies to lower the cost of genomic information and enable broader routine adoption for research and diagnosis. Ultima emerged from stealth with approximately $600M in funding.
