Hamarpe'e St, Jerusalem, 14501, Israel
Overview
Umoove develops camera-based face- and eye-tracking software designed to run on front-facing smartphone cameras to determine gaze and head position. Its core product is an SDK and an iOS demo game that showcases head/eye-tracking interfaces as an augmentation to touch controls (for example steering an avatar by moving the head). The software is engineered to work with non-specialist hardware and in variable everyday lighting conditions, avoiding the need for infrared cameras. Umoove positions the tech as a supplementary interaction layer for gaming, ecommerce (3D product viewing), advertising (user-interest analysis), medical diagnostics, and security, and says it is talking to OEMs about embedding the technology. It does not currently charge indie developers for SDK access and is selective about partners while building a platform for advertising and other commercial use-cases; the company reports one main advertising partnership and a pilot with big brands starting in a few months. Financially, Umoove has raised around $3 million to date (a $1.5M seed and a sub-$1.5M angel round from undisclosed investors).
