Underflow develops Aurora, an AI assistant that connects to insurers’ email to read submissions and attachments, extract and enrich data from public records, flag missing information, draft follow-ups to brokers, and route completed files to underwriters. Aurora also writes preliminary risk assessments and aims to capture repeatable parts of underwriting expertise that are at risk as experienced staff retire. The company argues older tools merely digitised documents rather than comprehending contradictions or gaps, and believes comprehension-oriented automation can reduce time spent on administrative tasks. Underflow raised a $3 million seed to further develop Aurora’s capabilities and drive customer adoption. Founder and CEO Ola Kolade leads the effort to integrate the product into existing email environments to lower implementation barriers.
